During 2009 TMELA was contracted by
the Rural City of Wangaratta to conduct a feasibility study into the
need for a community complex for the Upper King Valley region. This
involved making connections with the local individuals and
organisations within the region and interviewing and surveying them
for their opinions about the need for such a centre, where it should
be positioned and what would be needed within it. TMELA was
required to work with, and report to a steering committee made up of
representatives from local organisations and council employees, and
to make recommendations based on an analysis of these findings.
After consultative discussions with community representatives, TMELA
then prepared a strategic plan and a business / action plan for the
Upper King Valley Community Complex, on behalf of the community.
